Lamb and Wool Festival

Last weekend we went back to Thanksgiving Point for the Lamb and Wool Festival.

We saw lots of animals. First came the chickens:

 Our backyard neighbors have chickens, so Eli already knows all about these guys. Here he is,  "bocking" at them:

 By this point I was doing deep breathing exercises and pouring hand sanitizer all over!

 Just when Eli got it that he doesn't have to touch the poopy fence ...

 ... Daddy lifts him up so he can just go ahead and lick it! And possibly get pecked. Ug!

 There were also fluffy bunny rabbits ...

 ... and lots of goats and sheep ...

 We were even allowed to feed some of then thru the fence ...

 And, of course, fence climbing was irresistible ...

 This is Mike saying, "Help me! What do I do?" I just took his picture and hoped for the best.

 And was really thankful Eli wasn't climbing in with this guy ... do you see the red sign?

 Ya, we didn't really see it at first, either. It says: "Watch out. I BITE!" What?

 We saw really little horses ...

 ... and really big horses ...

 ... and (against Mommy's better judgement) even got to ride the horses!

Eli did so well, and held on all by himself!

That is until he, and the saddle, started sliding off ...

... oh, and the horse started jumping and Mommy had to pull him off. Apparently this particular horse is scared of the noises the carousel machine they're all hooked up to makes. Nice.

Eli got in a little trouble at Miss Kitty's ...

... but he thought jail was pretty fun, too ...

... until he got a cell mate.

Look at his face! You'd think he's been watching 'Oz' or something!

Luckily, he was able to make a break for it ...

... and Daddy was there for a quick getaway!
