Everyone getting off the plane wished that they were Grampa Ed! Eli was so excited and cute! He did such a good job holding the sign ... even if it was upside down and sideways!
It was a little tearful at first (for Mommy) ...
But then it was just like old times!
Mostly we just hung out, but we also took Grampa bike riding:
Then Grampa Ed read Eli the most HORRIBLE book of all time!
Ok, maybe it isn't really horrible. Apparently I only remember it as horrible because it was the shortest book in our collection. Hmm ...
Eli LOVED it!
And then, of course, we had to go shopping! First to the party store for more sunglasses ...
... and then to Toys R Us for (ironically) a dinosaur bank:And a shopping trip is never complete until Eli rides the Tigger Boat!
After naps (for everyone), Eli had to show Grampa Ed around the yard ...
... first sweeping ...
Grampa Ed was quick to find the grass clippings that Daddy hadn't swept up!
Eli picked up on that and got to sweeping!
That's when they started looking alike!
Eli even tried to get Grampa Ed to go golfing!
Then he had to show Grampa Ed the chickens behind our garage ...
I think Grampa Ed was thinking about getting himself a coop!
Then we went to the zoo. Eli had a great time watching Grampa Ed ...
... getting sprayed by the dinosaurs!
The boys loved the "fake" animals better than the real animals! And then they REALLY started to look ...
... and think alike!
It was a really great visit. And Grampa Ed even got to get back in touch with his Mormon roots!Eli won't ever forget his Grampa Ed! Mmm, mmm, mmm. Come back soon!
Love all the pictures. It certainly looks like Grandpa Ed got the Eli stamp of approval. How did we miss the chickens behind your garage? I want to see!
