Just like Arkansas!

We were rearranging some furniture (imagine that!), and suddenly it was like we were back in our beloved Arkansas:
 Yep, we became THOSE neighbors!

Yep, that's a bologna sandwich. With mayonaise. Sadly, we didn't have any white bread.
Yep, fuzzy picture, but those are bottle/cans of Miller Lite, right by the bologna and Eli's sippy.
Even Eli got into it. Because really, what's not to love about a couch on the front lawn? With snacks?
But it was this bit of class that brought out our neighbors:
Who stayed for a drink or two and then helped us move the couch off the lawn. They insisted.

  1. Kid...those Arkansas roots run deep, but for some reason you're getting a full set of teeth and love to wear shoes.

  2. Words have escaped me right now. Thank goodness the neighbors had some idea of where a couch really belongs. I'm sure that a day on the front lawn was a nice change-but wouldn't a hammock have been better. gg

  3. I can tell that you have been away to long. Any good Arkansan knows that the couch has to be brown or green fabric to soak up all the butt sweat from the heat and humidity around here. Black leather......a HUGE no no. The huntin' dogs would burn their paws AND it makes your beer warm up faster. Good thing your neighbors were there to save you from a grievous faux pas.

  4. Lori, you are so right! We're going to have to make an Arkansas notebook because you'll start to forget, too. For example, I bet none of your neighbors in Seattle will be sleeping in their carport.
